Wake-up Call!

Wake-up Call!
What happen to the Philippines? Is it a wake-up call?
The Philippines was stricken with very a strong typhoon, last Sept. 26, 2009,
“Typhoon Ondoy” many was homeless, many died,
Many are sick, many grieved for the death of their love once.
Many were stranded in their homes with no food for so many days.
Other dead bodies were not found…Pinoy in different places of the Philippines
Watch the tragic news over the television…you find different reactions from people with Mixed reactions that this typhoon has brought a BIG IMPACT to the Filipino people friends, relatives abroad. We get different reactions in the different parts of the world.
Why does it have to happen in the Philippines? We suffer soooo much already. Economical crisis, unemployed, Govt. corruptions, white slavery, broken marriages, drugs syndicate, idolatry, fornication!
Hohoho! I cry for our Country! Let us ponder and meditate why we have calamities one after the other! Proverbs 24:16 “for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity. There is that saying “righteousness exalts the Nation” but we are in the corrupt country and do you agree with me. That’s what brought Calamities in this Country.
Our Lord Jesus has chosen us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight but we have abused His goodness. The Lord does not want that any one will perish. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life, John 3:16.
Now, we have to acknowledge that we have sin against Him by truly ask for forgiveness to all the sins we have committed. Rise up! And wake up from our long sleeps. See the evil world is getting worst and worst. Repent!
2 Chronicles 7:14 “ if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land”.
God’s promise is if we seek him and really humble ourselves and pray then turn away from our wicked ways then we hear from heaven and He will heal our land…isn’t it so easy to understand. What the Lord wants is for us to be humble and that everything we do is always in accordance to God’s willed.
Wake up my brother’s and sisters exalt our Lord and we will rejoice in the Lord for healing our Land!
God bless!

Sept. 25,2009, ISLAMIC DAY OF PRAYER AT THE WHITEHOUSE

Dear Friends,

We received this email today and feel that it is important enough to pass along to you.

We need to continue to pray for our nation like never before!

In June 2007, Presidential candidate Barack Obama declares the USA no longer a Christian nation. In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a National Day of Prayer. In 1988, President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer. This year however, President Obama, decided to cancel the ceremony at the White House not wanting to offend anyone. On September 25, 2009 from 4am until 7pm, a National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion will be held on Capitol Hill, beside the White House. As a Christian, it makes me really wonder where the REAL direction of this country is headed. Whether you didn't vote for the man or you did, as Christians I would surely hope that this would stir your spirit. They are expecting over 50,000 muslims that day in DC. The website is:http://www.islamoncapitolhill.com/Pay particular attention on the website to the bottom of the page where it states, "OUR TIME HAS COME."2 Chronicles 7:14 says "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." becomes more important each day. Perhaps all the things going on now in this country and around the world could be solved if we would heed this scripture.

If you feel that this is an important issue, please feel free to make your friends and family aware. If not, delete it.
Just a few thoughts to ponder on.God Bless,

~If this upsets you, we have no one to blame except the Christians who haven't prayed.

~I've heard many complaints about the direction that our country is taking, many people are upset with President Obama and our government officials, but the truth is the only people to blame are we Christians who haven't chased hard after our God. This is a spiritual battle that will become a natural battle if we don't pray.

Bondgaes!

Exodus 20: 2I am the Lord your God which brought you out of the land of Egypt out of the houses of bondage.Romans 8 :15“But you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father“The Shame, fears, guilt are all bondages! Leaves us feeling dirty cant get out of it because we are addicted to what we are doing. If we are ask why we do such actions we can't simply reply why...in Romans 7:21-24 "So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22For in my inner being I delight in God's law; 23but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. 24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?"Chains from drugs, alcohol, cigarettes , sleep, sex, food, pornography , leave their captives in a feeling of defeat! The roots in sin are warned of in Proverbs 5:22 “ His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself and he shall be HELD with the cords of his sins. “ I say to you who ever commits sin is the servant of sin.” We are in bondage of sins, defeated and taken captives to our sins! The unwillingness for us to change and seeds of rebellion gave way to defeatism! our sins kept us in bondage.Acts 8: 22, 23 tells us repentance yields the prospect of forgiveness. The word repentance means a complete change in the direction of your travel and destination! A complete turn around from running away to running to our father! The bitterness - of rebellion can be replaced with the sweetness of victory!God has set us FREE...we are FREE from the oppression of sin.We cry Freedom! Freedom!Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me,because he has anointed meto preach good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisonersand recovery of sight for the blind,to release the oppressed".Set your people FREE from oppression

Do not Love the World

1 John 2:15-17 says "15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever."How can we live a life pleasing to God without loving anything of this world? Many will say we are just human we humans make mistake. It's true but unless our minds are not transformed we will always love what is in the world. What are the things of this world? Lust of the eyes, being boastful, lovers of money, deceiver, you posses all the Fruits of the flesh if you continue doing the works of the flesh. So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.Galatians 5:19 "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."Let us be like a Berean Christians. One who reads and meditate to the word of God day and night. Pray that the Holy Spirit will give us love, wisdom and understanding. That we walk by Faith and always are zealous in serving the Lord.1 Cor. 2:14 "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.”God will increase us as we decrease. As we move towards pleasing the Lord we possess the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit and live a life with contentment.Praise the Lord!

The Bible Series of Teachings

Introduction
The Word of God – the Holy Bible – is God’s special book. It is not like other books, but is a supernatural book. It is God’s written word for man. God used more or less forty human authors from all walks of life to compose and record HIStory, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Writers were inspired by God.

The Bible is the world’s bestseller. This last year there were more Bibles bought than any other book. The Bible is also one of the oldest books in the world. The most ancient portions of the Bible date back almost 4,000 years. Yet it is still the most modern and relevant book in the world today, for in it we find the answer to life’s greatest questions: “Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where will go?”

Even though the Bible contains, 66 smaller books, it has one central theme: God’s plan to rescue mankind.

The Bible is divided into two major sections, the OLD TESTAMENT (OT) and the NEW TESTAMENT (NT). The OT, with 39 books, talks about the history prior to the birth of Jesus Christ, while the NT, with 27 books, focuses on the life of Jesus and the events that followed after His resurrection.

The Bible is the only book that has been translated into all the major languages of the world. It was originally written in three languages – Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. Dedicated Bible scholars translated the Bibles that are available today, so we can have the Word of God in our modern language. Various versions have made it easier for us to understand the Bible.
Studying the Bible

The most vital relationship in life is with God. Through reading and studying the Bible we come to understand what God is like – His thoughts, His Will, His Ways, His Plans and His promises. The index in front of the Bible will show us how to find the part of the Bible quoted. For example, Genesis. 3:15 would mean the book of Genesis, chapter three and verse fifteen.

In Acts 2, Peter preached to the thousands of people gathered in Jerusalem and there were 3,000 men who responded to his message that day. One of the descriptions about their conversions was that they devoted themselves to the Apostle’s teaching … (verse 42).

What is the Apostles’ Teaching?

The apostles put their teaching into writing – the NT. The NT interprets the OT, so the apostles’ teaching is the WHOLE WORD OF GOD – the Bible.

Characteristics of the Word of God

1. The Word of God Produces Life

“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to
you are spirit and they are life” (John 6:63).

It is also creative.
“By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the
breath of his mouth.7 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the
deep into storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of
the world revere him. 9 For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it
stood firm” (Psalm 33:6-9).

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so
that what is seen was not made out of what was visible” (Hebrews 11:3)

2. The Word of God is Like Water

It cleanses.
We start life in the Kingdom of God totally washed clean by the Word of God.
“You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you” (John 15:3)
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself
up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water
through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without
stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless” (Ephesians
5:25-27).

It keeps clean.
The Word of God, planted in our hearts, keeps us free from sin.
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you” (Psalm
119:9-11).

3. The Word of God is Light for Our Lives

“And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19)

It gives understanding in a dark world.
“The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of
the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes” (Psalm 19:8).

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path … the unfolding of
your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple” (Psalm 119:105,130).
4. The Word of God is Spiritual Food

“Jesus answered, ‘‘It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).

It causes spiritual growth.
“Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready” (1 Corinthians 3:1-2).

“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation …” (1 Peter 2:2).

God’s aim for each of us is expressed in Ephesians 4:12-15. “… to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

5. The Word of God is Seed

In Luke 8:14-15, Jesus told his disciples the parable of the Soils. In verse 11 he said: “The seed is the Word of God.” God’s will for our lives is fruitfulness. (See Psalm 1:3).

“Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness” (2 Corinthians 9:10).

6. The Word of God is Like a Sword

“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:17)

“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

Note how Jesus used the “Sword of the Spirit” against Satan during His temptation in the wilderness.

Luke 4:1-14, ”Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the desert, 2 where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. 3 The devil said to him, ‘‘If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, ‘‘It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone.’” 5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him, ‘‘I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7 So if you worship me, it will all be yours.” 8 Jesus answered, ‘‘It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’” 9 The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. ‘‘If you are the Son of God,” he said, ‘‘throw yourself down from here. 10 For it is written:
”‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully; 11 they will
lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
12 Jesus answered, ‘‘It says: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” 13 When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.”

7. The Word of God Helps Us to Pray

‘‘Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash” (Matthew 7:24-27).

Jesus said that the wise man who built his house on the rock was a picture of those who hear His Word and obey it. The Word of God builds inner concrete within our lives so that no matter what may come against us we will stand strong.

Final Thought:

In 2 Timothy 3:15-16, Apostle Paul reminded young Timothy about the purpose of the Word of God. He said, “and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

Apostle Peter also explained, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”

What does dying in the Cross really means?

If you read the bible the word of God has so many parables.

For me dying in the cross is dying to your old ways.

Jesus said if you want to follow me pick up the cross and follow me.

Picking the cros is not literally picking it and carry it but it has a more deeper meaning in it.

We have to die from our sins a new you.As it is written be yeah transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Dying in the cross is having the fruit of the spirit in us...Galatians 5: 22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other". and in Galatians 5:19 "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God".
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
Praise the Lord...God has given His son as a sacrificial lamb, by giving His son to die in the cross for the atonement of our sins.
John 3:16 "16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
